The Assimilation Team’s mission here is to create a welcoming atmosphere for visitors, seekers and our DEC family. For the most part we are the undercurrent of DEC’s Sunday morning services ~ anticipating people’s needs, extending outstretched hands and warm smiles. For so many, a church doorway can be the most intimidating portal to enter through. Fear, unworthiness, guilt, and shame can meet them at the door of a church. This is where our Ushers, Greeters, and Information Center volunteers hope to make a difference. At DEC, all are welcome and all are received with the love of Christ.
Hospitality Team Our mind set is geared towards Hebrews 13:2 which says: “Do not forget to entertain strangers, for by so doing, some people have entertained angels without knowing it.” We welcome everyone joining us on Sunday mornings with hot coffee and munchkins. We serve our brothers, sisters and all who come into our midst by providing opportunities to meet each other, share fellowship, and support our brothers and sisters serving with any hospitable and loving care we can by the leading and blessings of our Lord, Jesus Christ.

The New Member Orientation Team is here to help you. Where is your walk with God leading you? We have opportunities to serve and/or to be served. Let’s meet and identify your special gifts and get to know each other better. Our goal is to serve together as the Lord leads each of us in different ways, yet in unity, for His Glory.

Here at DEC we hear from the Lord and study His word. Our goal is to worship, to grow spiritually, and to serve Him in ministry. We use what we learn to help others and thereby show God’s love and grace to them as we have received. God has led you here to DEC for His purpose. He has a plan customized just for you. Let us introduce your gifts to our Ministry Teams. You can begin through joining a small group, by being on a ministry team, or joining us in prayer and fellowship. Our DEC family wants to receive you as one of us…as one sent by God to help us serve Him…together.
