DEC’s Youth Ministry’s core, as with all the ministries at
DEC, is Bible-based life application studies, where kids
search for and find the perfect answers to the most puzzling
questions through and about Jesus Christ.
Jr. High Youth Extreme Carpool Team
The Jr. High Youth Main Event (7th and
8th grades) currently consists of over 30 kids
from more than 5 schools and meets on Friday nights from
7:00-9:00. We have five wonderful leaders who work with,
and care deeply for, this amazing group of kids who love to
have fun and are interested in learning why they believe
what they believe about Jesus Christ. This group does
everything from retreats to community work projects, crazy
games at the mall to bible study and dinner in kids homes.
We are always looking and praying for new ideas, and new
helpers, who are willing to follow Christ and love teens.
Sr. High Youth Real Life Service Project
Our Sr. High Youth Real Life (9th
-12th grades) focus this year is service.
Together, we look to glorify Jesus through serving each
other, serving the community and serving the church. By
seeking Him together, we’re always hoping for Jesus to use
us in some small way to encourage the saints and show others
the way to know Christ. The Sr. High weekly (Sunday nights
from 6:00-8:00 in the youth room) program is currently 50
kids strong with 6 leaders encouraging and challenging the
kids to a greater faith that reveals itself through the
choices they are making. The Sr. High ministry is very
relational and always seeks chaperones who want to encourage
kids to make their faith their own.
