SMALL GROUP STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

• People matter to God and to us.  People are more important than things.

• Christian life is a matter of relationship with Christ and with people.

• The faith community, the Church, is the Body of Christ and a family.

• Families are God's building blocks for the Church and Society.

• Faith is a practical, everyday life matter.

• Every Christian from newest to most experienced is gifted by God to minister to others.

• Intentional pursuit of God's purposes must permeate all we do.

• Structures promote function and are flexible.  Principles are God-given and enduring.

Our emphasis on the necessity of developing one's Christian life in a small group, family-type experience is expressed with a weekly, verbal, general invitation to participate in one of the various small groups which meet throughout the week.
