DEC Creed

Based on the DEC Statement of Faith

We believe in God,
Who is the Creator and Sustainer of the universe,

eternally existing in three persons:

Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

We believe in God the Father, perfect in holiness,
infinite in wisdom, measureless in power.

He concerns Himself in our affairs;
He hears us and answers prayer;

and He saves from sin and death all who come to Him through Jesus Christ.

We believe in Jesus Christ, uniquely eternal and begotten, the Son of God,
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of a virgin, Mary.
He is truly God and truly man.
He was tempted in all ways as all mankind, yet was without sin.

He made amends for the sins of the world by His death, and

He defeated death by His bodily resurrection.
He ascended into heaven, and today He ministers as High Priest and Advocate.
He will return for His children, and He will establish His kingdom.

We believe in the Holy Spirit. 

He is the eternal Spirit of God, sent by the Father and the Son

to convince the world of sin, righteousness and judgment.

He imparts new birth, and glorifies the Son.

He is the One who baptizes, seals, sanctifies, teaches, comforts,
and gives spiritual gifts to those who believe in Jesus Christ.

We believe in God.
